What is a Registered Office Address?

A registered office address is the official address submitted to ACRA where all statutory communications, legal notices, and government correspondences are sent. It’s also where the company keeps its statutory records and registers.

While your business may operate from multiple locations, only one registered office address can be listed with ACRA.
Operating Hours Requirement
Every company must ensure that its registered office is open and accessible to the public for at least three hours during normal business hours on each working day. This allows members of the public or government agencies to contact the company or deliver official documents if necessary.
Singapore Address Requirement
The registered office must be located within Singapore, although it does not need to be the place where you conduct your business.
For example, your company’s registered address could be in Paya Lebar Square, while your warehouse or factory operates from Tuas.
Business Address for Sole Proprietorships and Partnerships

If you are registering a sole proprietorship or partnership, you must provide a business address.
While the requirements for a business address are less strict than for a registered office, P.O. Box addresses are not permitted.

Under the Home Office Scheme, you may use your residential address as your business address, provided you obtain prior approval from HDB or URA. However, if privacy is a concern, it’s advisable to use a professional address service.
Operating Address
The operating address refers to the physical location where your daily business activities take place. Although ACRA does not impose specific requirements on operating addresses, other government agencies — such as the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) or Singapore Food Agency (SFA) — may have their own compliance rules depending on your industry.
What is a Virtual Office?

A virtual office provides businesses with a legitimate, physical office address and a range of administrative services — without the need to rent an actual workspace.

At VCO Office, our office is located at Paya Lebar Square, beside Paya Lebar MRT. This location also serves as our operational site for:

- Mail reception and handling
- Mail storage and self-collection
- Mail forwarding and scanning
- Meeting Room Rentals

Our virtual office addresses meet all ACRA requirements — they are physical office units, not mailboxes.

Why Entrepreneurs Choose Virtual Offices

Many startups and small businesses prefer virtual offices for flexibility and cost savings. Renting a full physical office or relying on a shared workspace can be expensive and unstable as your business evolves.

Our virtual office solution provides a permanent, affordable registered address — perfect for entrepreneurs who frequently relocate or manage their business remotely.

By investing in advanced IT systems, we ensure accuracy, security, and efficiency in handling large volumes of mail and client data, allowing us to offer one of Singapore’s most affordable virtual office plans without compromising quality.
Mail Handling & Support Services

We offer a range of mail services tailored to your needs:

- Unlimited mail reception and self-collection
- Optional weekly forwarding and daily scanning for premium plans
- Secure, organised mail storage

If you change your company name on ACRA, simply log in to your client portal or contact our support team via WhatsApp or email, and we’ll update your records promptly.
Refund Policy
We offer a 30-day partial refund (70%) if your virtual office address has not been used for ACRA registration and no mail has been received. A 30% fee applies to cover customer verification and payment processing costs.
In summary
A registered address gives your business a legal presence, a virtual office adds flexibility and professionalism, and VCO Office ensures both — with convenience, compliance, and affordability.
